The Argyle Street Jazz Band was formed in the 1980’s and performed in the San Juan Jazzfests. Down through the years the membership in the band has evolved, but the band continues to play Traditional Jazz in the tradition of the bands like Preservation Hall JB, the Dukes of Dixieland, and Lu Watters. All the members live on San Juan Island and, in addition to Argyle Street, play in the several other bands, from jazz to gospel. The band is available for parties, fund raisers, and community events.
